Based on a survey of 334 import-export freight forwarders at small and medium-sized logistics enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, this study applies fundamental theories of work motivation such as the Two-Factor Theory (Herzberg), Theory X and Y (McGregor), Expectancy Theory (Vroom), Equity Theory (Adams) and Positive Reinforcement Theory (Skinner). Combined with previous studies, the author uses quantitative methods, including descriptive statistics, Cronbach's Alpha test, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), correlation analysis and multiple linear regression using SPSS. The results show seven main factors affecting employees' work motivation, of which "Training and development" has the strongest impact, followed by "Working conditions", "Job security", "Nature of work", "Rewards and recognition", "Salary" and finally "Relationships with superiors and colleagues."
