The study identified the main problems of the traditional market ecosystem
through on-site observations and in-depth interviews. From there, the system was designed
to be able to manage stalls, orders, electronic payments, quality monitoring and an easy-touse interface for the elderly. To ensure the availability and acceptance of traders, the
implementation process used a modified Agile model and was field-tested. The pilot results
showed that the platform improved transparency, supported traders to reach customers
more effectively and increased the management efficiency of the Market Management
Board. The study provides a feasible experimental model for digital transformation of
traditional markets in Vietnam and provides advice for expanding and developing this
model sustainably. In addition, the study also analyzes the socio-economic impact of the
digital market model on small traders, including: the ability to expand the market, reduce
operating costs, limit revenue loss, and increase customer access efficiency.
Dang Thanh Tuan Nguyen Ngo Truong An Nguyen Dinh Binh Hoang Ngoc Long Nguyen Minh De Copyright (c) 2026 Tập san Khoa học và kỹ thuật trường Đại học Bình Dương 2026-01-02 2026-01-02 8 4 10.56097/binhduonguniversityjournalofscienceandtechnology.v8i4.362 Developing an E-textbook for machine elements: The necessity in the era of digital transformation at the Military Engineering Officer School https://jst.bdu.edu.vn/index.php/jst/article/view/370
In the current context of educational digital transformation, the application of
information technology in developing electronic textbooks for foundational technical
courses has become an inevitable requirement to enhance training quality. The Machine
Details course plays a fundamental role in the training program of technical officers at the
Military Engineer Officer School; however, its traditional teaching approach still faces
numerous challenges due to the high level of abstraction and limited visualization. This
paper analyzes the theoretical and practical foundations for developing an electronic
textbook for the Machine Details course, evaluates the current state of implementation at
the School, and conducts a quantitative survey to assess learners’ satisfaction with
traditional lectures and electronic lectures. The research results indicate that electronic
lectures yield a significantly higher level of learner satisfaction, with statistical
significance. Based on these findings, the paper proposes a specific roadmap and practical
solutions for developing and effectively implementing an electronic textbook for the
Machine Details course, thereby contributing to the realization of educational digital
transformation objectives and the improvement of training quality at the Military Engineer
Officer School.
Nguyen Quoc Hoi Copyright (c) 2026 Tập san Khoa học và kỹ thuật trường Đại học Bình Dương 2026-01-02 2026-01-02 8 4 10.56097/binhduonguniversityjournalofscienceandtechnology.v8i4.370 Study on optimal wedge angle in surface plastic deformation of flat metal sheets https://jst.bdu.edu.vn/index.php/jst/article/view/369
In the material manufacturing industry, the study of optimal material processing
methods is always a top priority. Using 3D design software (SolidWorks 2019) and
computational simulation tools (ANSYS Workbench 19.2), a model of the surface
hardening process for a cylindrical workpiece using flat tools was developed to calculate
and evaluate the stress–strain state (SSS) of the workpiece in the deformation zone, as well
as the residual stresses in the finished part. Based on the analysis of finite element
simulation results, a reasonable value of the wedge angle of the flat tool was determined to
be 45°. At this angle, the maximum transient stress during the hardening process is lower
than the material’s yield strength, thereby ensuring that the hardening does not cause
surface damage to the workpiece, while also achieving a uniform distribution of residual
stresses on the surface.
Nguyen Van Tu Cao Xuan Diep Copyright (c) 2026 Tập san Khoa học và kỹ thuật trường Đại học Bình Dương 2026-01-02 2026-01-02 8 4 10.56097/binhduonguniversityjournalofscienceandtechnology.v8i4.369 Factors affecting cash holdings of non-financial firms listed on the Ho Chi Minh City stock exchange (HoSE): A Python-based approach https://jst.bdu.edu.vn/index.php/jst/article/view/368
In the context of an increasingly volatile economy, cash flow management has
become critically important for businesses. This study focuses on analyzing both
macroeconomic and microeconomic factors that influence the cash holding ratio of 351
non-financial firms listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) during the period
2015–2023. Employing the Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) model using
Python software, the findings indicate that the variables NWC (Net Working Capital), CF
(Cash Flow), LEV (Leverage), and ROA (Return on Assets) exhibit a positive relationship
with the cash holding ratio. In contrast, SIZE (Firm Size), FIC (Financial Constraints), and
INF (Inflation) show a negative relationship. Although FIC demonstrates a negative effect,
it is not statistically significant in the model. This study not only elucidates how firms adjust
their cash holdings in times of economic uncertainty but also proposes flexible and effective
cash management strategies to support business adaptation and sustainable development.
Dao Le Kieu Oanh Le Dinh Nhan Vu Thi Ngoc Linh Copyright (c) 2026 Tập san Khoa học và kỹ thuật trường Đại học Bình Dương 2026-01-02 2026-01-02 8 4 10.56097/binhduonguniversityjournalofscienceandtechnology.v8i4.368 Tích hợp kế toán tín chỉ carbon vào các cơ sở giáo dục Đại học: Khuôn khổ, kết quả và định hướng nghiên cứu tương lai https://jst.bdu.edu.vn/index.php/jst/article/view/367
This systematic literature review examines how Carbon Credit Accounting
(CCA) frameworks have been implemented in higher education institutions (HEIs), which
are increasingly seen as key actors in decarbonization. Grounded in the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Human
Capital Theory (HCT), the study proposes a theoretical model in which employees’ green
capability serves as a mediating mechanism linking green human resource management to
environmental, social, and long-term economic performance. By synthesizing recent
empirical studies, the paper highlights the strategic role of green capability as an intangible
resource that is valuable, rare, and difficult to imitate, thereby contributing to sustainable
competitive advantage. Based on theoretical foundations and
international experiences, the author argues that digital transformation is not merely a
technological trend but a comprehensive restructuring of how businesses operate, manage,
and create value. However, Vietnamese enterprises - especially small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs) - are facing numerous barriers, such as a shortage of digital human
resources, high investment costs, underdeveloped technological infrastructure, and an
unclear legal framework. On the basis of empirical findings, the study formulates policy
implications aimed at steering digital transformation toward enhanced effectiveness and
long-term sustainability. The article underscores the enabling role of the government in
mobilizing resources, coordinating strategic directions, and ensuring equitable access to
digital transformation across all types of businesses. Conversely, Perceived Usefulness (PU), Financial Barriers (FC), Digital
Literacy (DL), and Cultural Attachment (CA) do not demonstrate a direct impact on BI.
Furthermore, PEOU plays a critical mediating role, significantly affecting PU. These
results underscore the pivotal role of supportive policies, hands-on guidance, and userfriendly interface design in fostering digital transformation within traditional markets.
