In Southeast Asia, where metal suppliers must
simultaneously meet regulatory standards for
quality, cost and sustainability, IKEA chose a
different path: combining the IWAY–CSR
management framework with artificial
intelligence (AI) through the network model and
ANN–GA genetic algorithm. This study focuses
on analyzing IKEA Southeast Asia’s IWAY–CSR
metal supplier control strategy, in which artificial
intelligence is used as a data-based decision
support tool, helping to eliminate human
emotions in supplier selection and enhance
customer transparency in price evaluation. The
results show that the IWAY–CSR model
combined with ANN-GA not only contributes to
minimizing errors and optimizing costs, but also
provides transparency, fairness and sustainable
development in the supply chain, where trust is
built from real data and evidence, instead of
human emotions.
