Vietnam’s tourism industry has experienced
rapid growth, leading to various consequences
such as environmental pollution, resource
degradation, climate change, and overtourism. In
this context, green tourism has emerged as an
inevitable trend to balance economic growth with
environmental protection. Despite its significant
potential for sustainable tourism development,
Vietnam faces multiple challenges, including
policy limitations, low awareness, and
inadequate infrastructure. Therefore, fostering
collaboration between the government,
businesses, and local communities is essential to
promote green tourism, ensuring long-term
development that harmonizes economic, social,
and environmental benefits. This study analyzes
the current situation and proposes solutions for
advancing a sustainable green tourism industry.
The adoption of green tourism models not only
helps conserve natural resources but also
enhances Vietnam’s tourism brand on the global
stage
