Abstract

In the current context of educational digital transformation, the application of
information technology in developing electronic textbooks for foundational technical
courses has become an inevitable requirement to enhance training quality. The Machine
Details course plays a fundamental role in the training program of technical officers at the
Military Engineer Officer School; however, its traditional teaching approach still faces
numerous challenges due to the high level of abstraction and limited visualization. This
paper analyzes the theoretical and practical foundations for developing an electronic
textbook for the Machine Details course, evaluates the current state of implementation at
the School, and conducts a quantitative survey to assess learners’ satisfaction with
traditional lectures and electronic lectures. The research results indicate that electronic
lectures yield a significantly higher level of learner satisfaction, with statistical
significance. Based on these findings, the paper proposes a specific roadmap and practical
solutions for developing and effectively implementing an electronic textbook for the
Machine Details course, thereby contributing to the realization of educational digital
transformation objectives and the improvement of training quality at the Military Engineer
Officer School.
