Survey on the drugs using to treat asthma in outpatients under 12 years old at Thuan An Medical Center

Abstract

Asthma is the most common chronic lung disease in children, greatly affecting
children's daily life, learning, and physical activity. With the desire to learn about the
situation of drug use in treating asthma in children, especially at medical facilities in Binh
Duong, we focus on the content "Survey on the drugs using to treat asthma in outpatients
under 12 years old at Thuan An Medical Center". The results showed that all drugs used to
treat asthma in pediatrics under 12 are as the same as recommendation in guideline issued
by Ministry of Health. Among those anti-asthma drugs, bronchodilator such as salbutamol
is the most commonly prescribed with the rate 65,19%; 2-drug-combination therapy is
mostly applied in asthma management (rate of 70,71%).
